Nephew of Prince Griffith of Castle Melyntha, and also a relative of Eri. Edern was abducted by slaves as a child but was rescued by Timoken. After Osbern D'Ark takes over Melyntha Edern flees the castle with his friends and settles in Timoken's Red Castle, and becomes one of Timoken's loyal knights.
