Olivia Vertigo is first introduced in Midnight for Charlie Bone. She is a spontaneous, dramatic, and secretly endowed Drama student at Bloor's Academy. A white witch named Alice Angel had told her that she was gifted with power, power that Olivia didn't want. But after a series of slightly depressing and chaotic events, Olivia finally accepted that she was a child of the Red King. Her endowment is the ability to create lifelike illusions. Olivia had been a great asset to the good side, as the Bloor's had no idea that she was endowed. She, like Gabriel Silk, another endowed fifth year, is descended from Guanhamara, a gentle witch child of the Red King.

Olivia is the daughter of a famous actress, and aims to be one herself. She is a troublemaker, much like Charlie Bone, and his curiosity has been sparked many times because of her knowledge of strange occurrences around Bloor's Academy or the town. Olivia enjoys wearing all sorts of strange and exotic clothing and dying her hair, her natural color being mouse brown. She also owns a pet white rabbit, which is often brought to the Pet's Café.
